The box contains a flag designed by C.W. Mann. The large-format, square flag makes playful references to the respective point of view; as a linguistically artistic call over the roofs, on the summit or in front of the house, they call for a different point of view and invite one to think and walk on.

Die Box enthält eine von C.W. Mann gestaltete Raumsatz Fahne. Die großformatige, quadratische Fahne setzt spielerische Bezüge zum jeweiligen Standpunkt; als sprachkünstlerisches Ruf über den Dächern, auf dem Gipfeln oder vor dem Haus forderten sie einen anderen Blickwinkel und ladet zum Weiterdenken und -gehen ein.

C.W. Mann is a word painter. Since her youth she has been closely connected to the use of language and finds models for her work in the witty linguistic approaches of Kurt Schwitters or Timm Ulrich. Playfully dissecting, dissecting and crazy, C.W. Mann transforms words and sentences, transfers them into new contexts of meaning - and in doing so she plumbs the absurd in the banal, the poetic in the familiar, always with a fine sense of humour and without ever slipping into the moral.  

C.W.Mann, born 1960 in Wattwil, Switzerland, lives and works in Berlin and Zurich. St. Moritz macht Un Sinn” was her second project with flags in public space. The opening was the "Frohe Botschaft" on the Swiss embassy building in Berlin.

C.W. Mann ist Wortmalerin. Seit ihrer Jugend dem Umgang mit Sprache eng verbunden, findet die Schweizerin Vorbilder ihres Schaffens in den geistreichen sprachkünstlerischen Ansätzen eines Kurt Schwitters oder Timm Ulrichs. Spielerisch seziert, zerschneidet und verrückt C.W. Mann Worte und Sätze, überführt sie in neue  Sinnzusammenhänge – und lotet dabei das Absurde im Banalen, das Poetische im Vertrauten aus, stets mit einem feinen Sinn für Humor und ohne je ins Moralische abzugleiten.

C.W.Mann, 1960 in Wattwil in der Schweiz geboren, lebt und arbeitet in Berlin und Zürich. “St. Moritz macht Un Sinn” war ihre zweite Besatzung mit Fahnen im öffentlichen Raum. Den Auftakt machte die „Frohe Botschaft“ auf dem Schweizer Botschaftsgebäude in Berlin.
