“My work on paper has its origin in the search for a two-dimensional language. Language that did not move away from the sculpture and in which the same concepts of my work in sculpture were maintained.
Performing the works with the embossing technique allows me to create relief shapes with the same spatial content as in my three-dimensional work.
These works are born from the surface of the paper and are projected to the exterior creating changing effects with the different shades of shadow that are created and that cause the spatial depth and volume of the work to be built. They are sculptures that are built with light and paper.
This particular engraving is also designed with the intention of representing a hug that surrounds and protects us in order to face crisis of the Corona pandemic.“

"Meine Arbeit auf Papier hat ihren Ursprung in der Suche nach einer zweidimensionalen Sprache. Eine Sprache, die sich nicht von der Skulptur entfernt und in der die gleichen Konzepte meiner Arbeit in der Skulptur beibehalten wurden. Die Ausführung der Arbeiten mit der Prägetechnik ermöglicht es mir, Reliefformen mit dem gleichen räumlichen Inhalt wie in meiner dreidimensionalen Arbeit zu schaffen.
“Diese Werke entstehen aus der Oberfläche des Papiers und werden nach außen projiziert, wodurch sich verändernde Effekte mit den verschiedenen Schattenschattierungen entstehen, die die räumliche Tiefe und das Volumen des Werkes aufbauen. Es sind Skulpturen, die durch Licht und mit Papier erschaffen werden.
Auch diese Gravur habe ich mit der Absicht entworfen, eine Umarmung darzustellen, welche uns umhüllt und uns Schutz bietet, der gegenwärtigen Krise der Corona Pandemie zu begegnen.”

Jacinto Moros is famous for his minimalist aesthetic. Renowned museums such as the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, Centre Pompidou in Paris or the Whitney Museum New York have already presented his oeuvre and have works in their collection.
Moros' graphic and sculptural works are based on a seemingly simple foundation: the line. From this, the artist develops in virtuoso mastery a nested structure of curves, similar to fluid vortices. These create a vibrating visual language of dynamics and movement.
